ACES Programmes
PE in Pei Tong is enhanced with our signature ACES Programmes, which stands for Achieving Character Excellence Through Sport. All students participate in carefully curated sports activities to develop character excellence, social emotional learning skills and emerging 21CC competencies, all while being physically active.
Sports Carnival and Lower Primary Sports Day
The Sports Carnival and Lower Primary Sports Day is the most highly anticipated event of the year where the Pei Tong school spirit truly comes alive! Students take part in various games and sports in a friendly competitive setting, showcasing their skills learnt during PE and demonstrating sportsmanship, resilience and teamwork.
I’m Possible Programme
I’m Possible is a week-long Paralympic Education Programme where students experience inclusive sports and Para-sports. They gain a greater awareness and understanding of disability through sports. Inspired by the Paralympic values of courage, determination, inspiration and equity, we empower our students with the mindset to be able to achieve the impossible in their lives.
P1 and P2
The P1 and P2 programmes focus growing in self-awareness and self-management through activities that develop fundamental movement skills, general fitness and coordination. Through various activities such as Mass Dance, iBounce (Mini-trampoline) or Skipping, students have the opportunity to develop the lower primary DISCOVER learning dispositions and demonstrate positive values.
P3 to P6
P3 to P6 programmes have a greater emphasis on social awareness and relationship management skills as they progress towards activities that are more game-specific and require greater teamwork. Students further develop their gross and fine motor coordination skills as they participate in activities such as Inline Skating and Hip Hop. They also participate in alternative sports such as Kinball and Goalball which require greater teamwork. Other level-based programmes include P3 Swim Safer, P4 Resilience Walk, P5 Camp Resilience (Outdoor Adventure Learning Camp), and P6 I’m Possible Sport Engagement.
